Some of you may be wondering why internet marketers choose to use interactive marketing.
Simply put, interactive marketing allows marketers to efficiently support its customers which will in turn create a more loyal and engaged consumer base. In other words, it prompts interaction between marketer and consumer, while building a relationship.
By using interactive marketing over the internet (as it can be done over many different medians), marketers have a much broader reach, makes the business more discoverable, and can quickly distribute information to consumers.
Overall, interactive marketing is a fantastic way for marketers to provide customers with information more pertinent to each individual, creating a long term relationship.

Good points Amanda!
I think that one of the main reasons that businesses are gravitating to interactive marketing is to establish and/or strengthen relationships with their customers.
As a small business owner, I'm discovering that if people feel like they've gotten to know you or your company - they actually want to help your business grow. They tell everyone they know that they like doing business with you, and help you get new customers.
I was at a design conference earlier this week, and one of the speakers mentioned that the creators of Star Wars never wanted to create anything other than a very simple website for their movies. It was more important to them to allow their loyal fans to do the marketing for them by creating their own fan sites, which in turn was more effective than even the best corporate site could ever hope to be.
